Make sure you take a good look at it. This is how the best luxury coupé of the last couple of years looks like. Third time lucky – and yeah, in the third generation has Bentley developed a perfect car, perfect in how it looks and how it drives. Since we first saw it in Geneva Motor Show it keeps on delighting us with its monumental presence and self-assured stance. This is how it’s meant to be where relaxed and very fast jaunts across the continent are at stake. And what about technology? The point is Bentley impressed us by not giving up its masculine and characterful 12-cylinder engine. Two turbos help it to deliver 900 Nm of torque – mighty and genuine as it’s born out of a really big cubic capacity. Then, we’ve seen more than one large-diameter brake disc already but what we find behind the GT’s 22-inch wheel rims takes our breath away. The car is also much lighter, having lost almost 100 kg compared to the previous generation. In effect, to drive it is to enthuse about free-flow and instant dynamics always under complete control. Let’s admit one thing: we are full of envy of those of our members who plan a long holiday trip in it this year…
