The 296 is nothing more than another evolution of the concept of a two-seat sport berlinetta with a centrally located engine at the rear. Due to the imposed standards to which the Italians had to conform, we get a revolutionary unit. What we have here is a twin-turbocharged forked six with a 120° opening angle, which, in cooperation with an electric motor that drives only the rear wheels, generates 830 hp. However, despite the “economy” in cylinders, the engineers have taken care of the acoustic qualities of their youngest child, the car even at low revs makes it clear that it is a real killer in its class. Ferrari continues its new design language, initiated with the SF90 model, but also adds a hint of inspiration from the historic 250 LM model. This is evident as soon as you look at the vertical rear window and the wide wheel arches with a wavy profile.
