„One Man – One Engine” is AMG’s powerplant manufacturing philosophy. According to it, one engineer is responsible for the entire process of an engine’s assembly, from the outset to the final handwritten signature put on a plate that adorns it. To opt for this out-of-the-box car is to pay tribute to the V8 engine that drives it. In fact, it marks the end of this legendary Mercedes-AMG powerhouse in this segment of vehicles. GLC is a strongman, although its over-the-top power is hidden in a compact and rather unassuming body. At the same time, it is versatile, practical as a family car, on long journeys as well as in cities. Outside you can tell it by muscular exhaust note and a few details (brakes, exhaust, broader wings); inside – by carbon fibre, seats and leathers typical of the top level models from Affalterbach. When creating the Club a dozen years ago we surely never imagined that some time down the line we would consider a mid-sized Coupé-SUV worth of real interest.
