Having had and used a Mercedes AMG GT S in our Club fleet we know now this is a consummate car in which little if anything can be criticised. The only thing that might not suit everybody is similar to any Porsche’s issue: it is so perfectly engineered that it seems to lack some reckless emotional charisma. But then again, our new AMG GT C is a different story. Along with one of the best-set up supercars of our day we get something more: a cruiser, quite relaxed and aloof. A small difference, you think? While catalogue data speak little about it, in practice the driver gets more sensations, more impulses to keep him involved at the wheel and experience a true adventure. This is how Mercedes’ technocratic and engineering mind is enriched with a dose of South-European dolce vita. We’re not afraid to say a C is a different car than an S. Furthermore, ours is a limited Edition 50 with several features not available in other AMG GT versions. So, how it is in reality? Here we get to the point and sense of our Club’s membership: you tell us!
