Some say it is dishonour to your masculinity to take this car’s driving seat. And still our advice is: don’t let illusions mislead you. In much the same way as M2 is for BMW, in the Audi model family this is the one for driving really hard. The gearbox is fantastic and the turbocharged in-line five cylinder engine brings back fond memories of long-gone mad days in motorsport history. And then, the coupé version knew how to maintain diet (c. 1400 kg) which translates into fabulously light and fluid handling for today’s standards. Our sincere opinion is if we’d have to name a successor to the iconic Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, this wouldn’t be a bad choice. We are so keen to learn how it will come to terms with ambitious mountain roads during our club’s nearest GT trips.
